Our proposal for the renovation of the Library and Cultural Center "La Ginestra" aims to revitalize a vital part of the city's historical center by transforming the existing complex into a new cultural hub for the community. This new cultural center will host cultural, educational, and social activities while preserving and restoring the site.
The building was firstly constructed as a hospital between X and XV C, Monastery until XVII, and then a silk processinf factory until the XIX century.
The Ginestra Library is a vibrant, modern space characterized by bright, comfortable interiors and dynamic furnishings. It features two study rooms, a multipurpose event hall for conferences, screenings, workshops, and concerts, an outdoor amphitheater, and dedicated areas for children, teenagers, and families.
The architecture emphasizes accessibility and a welcoming atmosphere, with clear signage and intuitive organization of spaces.
